Put your running shoes on for your local hospital charity

Time is running out to get behind your local hospital and join the SASH Charity team for the Surrey Half Marathon taking place on Sunday 8 March.

Local runner, Tobias Tipper from Salfords (pictured), an NHS Graduate Management Trainee and currently working as a manager in Clinical Support Services at East Surrey Hospital, has been training hard for the event around the Redhill and Horley areas.

“I’ve joined SASH Charity’s Surrey Half team to show my support for the hospital and all the staff I’ve met there, who are dedicated to providing the best patient care possible.”

The charity, which raises money to enhance the patient care provided by Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, – from enabling cancer patients to participate in art workshops to investing in additional clinical support for patients with dementia and high-tech ultrasound devices for A&E, goes above and beyond to ensure the local community receives the best care possible.

SASH Charity has just four spaces left on their team taking part in the Surrey Half Marathon and is looking for other local runners to join them and help support the charity.

If you want to join the team, email [email protected] or tweet us at @sashcharity before entries close on 24 February to find out more information.
